WINERGY
is a completely automatic thoroughbred handicapping software package
that is based on my K-Speed Ratings. For those of you wondering what
K-Speed is, it is a rating that is based on the Pace of the HORSE
versus the Pace of the RACE. So it will pick up horses that on the
surface appeared to have run a poor race, but digging deeper into it,
the horse may have just been running is a very fast paced race. And on
the other hand, it will catch those horses that appeared to have run a
great race, but in reality did it in a poorly contested race.
WINERGY also has some
added rules and adjustments that are not in the regular K-SPEED method.
Yes, many times the ranking order will be exactly the same, but
sometimes WINERGY will upgrade certain horses, and wongrade others.
WINERGY requires NO
MANUAL INPUT on the users end. Just download the file into
WINERGY, and in a few clicks of the mouse, you will have the entire
days races neatly printed out for you in an easy to read format.
To use WINERGY, you need
an account with BRIS. WINERGY uses the single file format of the DRF,

Below I will paste a
sample printout of WINERGY, then explain what it is showing.

Let me explain the columns
first:
R#:
Race Number
PgNo: Official Program Number of
the horse
M/L: Morning Lin odds
of the horse:
Horse Name: Name of
horse, of course.
Rating: The actual
WINERGY rating of the horse. Horses are listed from high to
low on this column.
DSLR: Days Since Last Race,
followed my number of workouts since last race.
F-B/L1: This is the beaten
lengths of the horse at the finish of its last race.
F-B/L2: This is the beaten
lengths of the horse at the finish of its second race back.
Comments: This is the comment
line for the horses last race.
You can use things like F-B/L1
and F-B/L2 to see if the horse still is in form. Also, knowing how long
its been since the horse last raced, and if it has been worked out
(DSLR column) helps to know if the horse is prepared. ALso, the comment
line will show you if the horse had a good reason for a poor last race.
But many users just to see who the top 1 or 2 listed horses are and
thats it. This is fine too.
Back to the above races at
Calder.
RACE 1)
The winner is the top ranked WINERGY horse. By a nice margin too...MY
KIP has a 195, and the second best is 178...a nice gap and easy winner.
RACE 2)
Again, the top ranked horse won.
RACE 3)
A good race to pass. The winner was a First Time starter in this Maiden
race. You can tell when a horse is a first timer when its DSLR are 0,
and its WINERGY rating is also 0. I DO play maiden races with first
timers, but look at that 3rd race. The 2 first timers are 4-1 and 6-1
morning line. Any first timers with morning line odds of UNDER 8-1 (6-1
and less) are always threats. You see the 4-1 First Timer won.
Race 4)
Another TOP LISTED WINNER. Remember what I said about Morning
Line odds and first timers? This race had 3 first timers, but
all above 10-1, so they were not real threats.
RACE 5)
Second pick won....but wow...the top 4 WINERGY horses combined for the $696.20 SUPERFECTA!
Race 6)
Yes, another top ranked winner
Race 7)
A pass for sure...the morning line favorite is a first timer...and it
did win.
Race 8)
Second ranked horse won.
Race 9)
Had the $66 exacta on
the top 2 WINERGY horses.
So another very good day for
WINERGY players. Of the playable races, the top pick won 4 out of 7,
and the top 2 went 7
for 7! Many players, including myself, do
well playing PICK-3's using the top 2 or 3 WINERGY horses in each
race. Daily doubles do well like this too!
